Ford VCM3 Diagnostic Tool: Original 1:1 Functionality
The Ford VCM3 is a professional diagnostic tool designed for accurate diagnosis, testing, and reprogramming of a wide range of Ford and Lincoln vehicles. It supports all Ford/Lincoln models, including the latest ones, and is compatible with IDS, FDRS, FDRScan, and MDARS software.
VCM3 Diagnostic Scan Tool Features:
- Customer Flight Recorder (CFR): Enables Vehicle Data Recorder (VDR) functionality with the optional hanging cable 164-R9806 (not included).
- Enhanced Wireless Connectivity: Features wireless 802.11n, reducing dependence on service department wireless infrastructure and ensuring robust performance for all IDS functions, including module reprogramming.
- USB Cable Connection: Required only for updating the VCM3’s firmware and configuring it as a Customer Flight Recorder (CFR).
- J2534 Protocol Support: Compatible with most J2534 OEM software programs.
Ford Diagnostic Software:
- IDS and FDRS Software: Provides comprehensive diagnostic coverage, including module and key programming for Ford and Lincoln vehicles from 1996 to present and future models. IDS/FDRS runs on PCs meeting minimum requirements and with a valid software license subscription. Subscriptions are available online from PTS, Ford Fleet, or Motorcraft service websites.
